Thank you for inquiring in our Family sessions. Each session with Purple Hippo Photography includes pre-session consultation and assistance with attire, location, and image selection. Whether you are vacationing in Jacksonville beach and want to capture the joy of your children playing, I will customize your photo session to fit your family’s unique personality.

Each session Includes a complementary phone consultation to go over session. Half of your session fee is due to reserve your date. Florida sales taxes will be added to the final price. Please note that parties more than 8 will be charged an additional $15 a person. Sessions further than 25 miles of 32250 will have an additional travel fee is $50.

Photography shouldn’t be about stiff poses and fake smiles. There should be a freedom to it. I want families to have fun and be themselves during the shoot. I like having kids run and play while the parents interact naturally. I have over 15 years of experience and have learned every trick in the book to get your child’s natural smiles.
There are many reasons to come together to capture the little transition and big milestones in life. Family portraits are especially important after new additions are welcomed, as kids and grandparents grow older, and when everyone in is home to visit. Extended family photos can be a lovely way to include grandparents, aunts and uncles, and others in the family photo album. Have fun with this part! The best option is to coordinate without being over “matchy”. Textures and prints are always fun and layers work well in photographs. When you lay your outfits out together nothing should stand out. Feel free to bring outfit changes but keep in mind that you might want to stick to no more than two outfits as young kids especially don’t love stopping to get changed. I often suggest to bring some fun things for your little one like hats, ties, fun bows, bright clothing, etc. Maternity clients should stick to form fitting outfits or tops that can be pulled above the belly. Color and accessories such as necklaces and ear rings can add a fun feel to your photographs. If you need help with wardrobe Janet will be more than happy to help you out.
We are fortunate to live in Florida where the sun shines almost every day, however if you do encounter a rainy day (especially those pesky summer storms) Janet is always happy to reschedule.
larger parties o f 6-10 there is an additional $15 dollar charge per person.
Janet will load your images into an online gallery that you can share with friends and family approximately 3-6 days after your family session. Then from there you can view your photos and select the ones you want Janet to edit. Number of images very according to which session you purchased. selected your images give Janet will edit your photos 4 days after your selection is completed.
Images will stay online for one month. You will receive a second online gallery with your edited images along with your download pin and print release. The second gallery will stay up for a month and then archived.
You sure can! Additional edited images will be $30 each with an option to purchase your whole session.
