Congratulations on your pregnancy! Thank you for inquiring in our maternity sessions. Maternity photography is a joy to experience. I love to capture the stunning glow of a beautiful pregnant woman. It is like none other. It will be a privilege for me to capture such a special time in your life. Each session with Purple Hippo Photography includes pre-session consultation and assistance with attire, location, and image selection.

The smile of an expectant mother is contagious and being around their energy fills me with wonderful memories. I get the privilege of meeting gorgeous soon-to be moms and then a few weeks later getting acquainted with their tiny newborns. I feel so blessed to be able to experience so many milestones with families who welcome me into their lives I love to be around all the anticipation and excitement, and try to encapsulate all those feeling through photography. Don’t worry about being camera shy. I am an experience maternity photographer with hundred and one ides for maternity posing and I will gladly incorporate any ideas you have in mind. I want you to feel comfortable and at ease with me during your shoot. So don’t feel rushed. In a few weeks (or even days) these photos will remind you of a very cherished moment in your life. It is an honor to be the one to showcase it.
Each session Includes a complementary phone consultation to go over session. Half of your session fee is due to reserve your date. Florida sales taxes will be added to the final price. Sessions further than 25 miles of 32250 will have an additional travel fee is $50.

Newborn Session: 60- 90 minute session at our in home studio. (only immediate family due to space) or at your home. | If you choose our in home studio you can expect a natural all white bed setup with window lighting| Posing is natural and relaxed *Please note that session does not include posing of baby on various backgrounds and props. | Online gallery of 2-30 images water marked | You will get 10 professionally edited images to download with a print release..

Generally, between 32-36 weeks is best but every momma is different. Once you see that rockin baby bump appear, you’re ready so it’s best to schedule your shoot between the 32-36 weeks period while knowing we can always adjust the date depending on how your baby grows.
This is a very natural and normal feeling that most mommas-to-be experience, especially with their first pregnancy. You are growing a little baby inside of your body and with that comes a lot of changes to your own body. I’ve been there and I completely understand. Through my lens I see these changes as absolutely miraculous and gorgeous and my number one priority as a professional photographer is to make you feel and LOOK your best during our time together. So, rest assured you will look gorgeous in your photographs.
I want you to feel beautiful and comfortable so it’s good to choose clothes that inspire you to feel your very best in your maternity pictures. I really love to capture your gorgeous form so choosing outfits that accentuate your body is recommended. Try to avoid tank tops but if you do wear one it’s good to bring a cardigan or long jacket to layer over it. Solid colors work best and whichever color makes you feel most like yourself is a good choice. We’ll send over some inspiration boards to help you prepare and get excited for the shoot!
We are fortunate to live in Florida where the sun shines almost every day, however if you do encounter a rainy day (especially those pesky summer storms) Janet is always happy to reschedule.
Professional hair and make-up DO make a difference in maternity photos. I know this is a beautiful but stressful time in your life and hiring someone to do your hair and makeup for your shoot is a wonderful way to pamper yourself to that you don’t have to worry about it. If this isn’t in your budget, stores like MAC and Ulta can be helpful. If you do your own make-up, date night makeup works like a dream.

You choose an environment that is most inspiring to you. This could be your home, a park, where you got engaged, or any other place that has special meaning for you and your loved ones.
Your Purple Hippo maternity session will be a joyful, meaningful and comfortable experience. Before we begin, I will review a few key elements such as posing and interacting with your significant other or children so you have some direction. If your children are in the session I’ll take some time to get to know them so that they feel comfortable with me. I have games for them to play and I will never force them to do anything that doesn’t come naturally. My intention is for these sessions to be a fun experience for everyone involved, including your kiddos. I will guide you through some poses and aim to capture beautiful moments of interaction. It’s these little moments between you and your family that you will cherish forever.
Images will stay online for one month. You will receive a second online gallery with your edited images along with your download pin and print release. The second gallery will stay up for a month and then archived.
You sure can! Additional edited images will be $30 each with an option to purchase your whole session.
